IPSA, Pumping Stations on the Air 2007 - 27th August 2007

Well this was the first ever IPSA event has been held and it was a great success.

Burton ARC are proud to have started this event. While not truly international, this year 12 stations registered to get involved in this new event. Some stations tried hard to get involved this year but due to problems and time they never managed to get on the air in time.We also had several radio clubs that enquired about getting involved from the USA, Canada and Holland but time was not on their side, they have said they will get involved next year.

Next years event is on 24th and 25th August 2008 (Date to be confirmed) - more information here

IPSA, Pumping Stations on the Air 2007 - 12th August 2007

Well it is looking like the first year of this brand new special event is steaming up for a success.

Amateur radio clubs from all over will be activating some rather special pumping stations.

Some of the clubs have managed to get special permission to work locations that would not normally be activated and this could could prove to be quite a rare QSL.

Burton ARC are proud to have started this new special event. We would like to thank all the radio clubs and pumping stations for joining in this year.

We wish all the amateur radio clubs and pumping stations involved every success on the weekend.
