'1st International Pumping Stations
on the Air 2007'
at
Claymills Pumping Engines Trust

Well this was the first ever IPSA held and Burton ARC are proud to have started this event. While not truly international, this year 12 stations registered to get involved in this new event. Some stations tried hard to get involved this year but due to problems and time they never managed to get on the air in time.We also had several radio clubs that enquired about getting involved from the USA, Canada and Holland but time was not on their side, they have said they will get involved next year.
Now we know this first year was a success we shall make arrangements for awards to be given out next year. From a special certificate for achieving a set amount of contacts to a higher award for a achieving a even higher number of contacts. We are thinking of a rather cool printed mug depicting the event.
Burton ARC would like to thank all the Pumping Stations, Radio Clubs and individuals that got involved in this first year of IPSA and we look forward to hearing you next year.
Our thanks goes out to all those radio operators that made contact with the Special event stations.
Burton ARC operated from Claymills Pumping Station, a wonderful Victorian steam pumping station which is a great visit when you are in the area. The weather was on our side and visitors were plenty at the event.
We would like to thank the following for operating, helping or just coming along and giving us support during the event.
